Location:        Chicago – NW Suburbs (Lake Zurich, IL)

Position Description:

This position helps manage our overall IT security processes and works with our project management team to ensure that our client’s IT security needs are met. Responsibilities Include:

  • This position will work with our internal IT team and our IT consultants to update develop and implement all IT policies, processes and standards and maintain records in a central location.
  • Management, programming and training of ServiceNOW custom applications Project Management, Change Management, SDLC and Asset Management, and client incident online systems.
  • Design, implement and refine security monitoring applications and processes, as well as security testing methodologies.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of server logs, policies, video/alarm audits, etc.
  • Control and maintain the information security policy exception process, including the initial evaluation of exception requests, assisting in defining appropriate mitigating controls and providing recommendations to the IT team and VP on mitigating risks on various exceptions.
  • Maintenance of Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
  • Management and training of ServiceNOW Change Management, SDLC, Inventory, and ITIL online systems.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures. Analyze packet data and database administration.

Required Experience / Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in an IT or business related field and/or relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years of experience or equivalent education in Information Security
  • 1-3 years of experience as an IT/Network Administrator preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM system (i.e. Remedy)

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a technology or audit position with a broad knowledge of IT operations and applications
  • Experience with LDAP and Active Directory Integration
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/LAMP server operating systems
  • Experience reviewing, supporting and facilitating development of consistently structured IT policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to support a 24/7 on-call function
  • CISSP Certification a plus
